Spent today doing the presentation. Tommorow I will tart it up and run through it to see how long it takes.
Spoke to paulson about the code more, and we decided that the best way of doing the estimation is to take a set of 4 then estimate each one from the other three. The set with the least error (the error being the theoretical-the actual) is the correct set.
The presentation content is pretty much done. Just have to add the references and images.
Taxi is picking me up at 8AM on sunday.
I dont know how to do the software. Do I do one thing at a time on all hydrophones, or do I do one hydrophone at a time.
Probably best to do all hydrophones at a time. The I could use/not use specific algorithms. Plus it would look better ona flow chart.
Means rewriting AGAIN though… Bummer.
Battling on with the software; after talking to Paulson I rewrote it. Just about got the errors out of the first phase.
Paulson has booked the flights and rooms.
Asked what was going to be left at the new house, he said everything apart from the washer and the fridge. Which is good. He was very vauge though, I dont think that he remembers what is there.
Also finally finished the Australia album. Havent sent if off yet because there is apparently an offer on at the moment where you get 50 free prints on every order. Waiting to get some photos from amsterdam.
Continued with the code from 9-5 non-stop. Not far off the sorting algorithm, but there is still quite a lot wrong. Even when I use raw data, the peaks function doesnt find them all.
Found out that I definatly had a slot for the conference.
